The Stables + Amber Tiles

The Stables + Amber Tiles

I love the authentic look of the Marmoreo Statuari tile from Amber Tiles, it has a beautiful genuine marble look to it and that goes a long way in my projects! When budget does not allow for real Carrara marble, which is most often the case, this is the perfect substitute. The subtle soft grey and white marbling means that this will be an easy tile to use over large spaces without it being too overwhelming. You could even use this in smaller spaces without it dominating the space.

I can see this tile used in a bathroom as the wall tile to give you that feeling of luxe and I would love to see it on all four walls for that added drama. I would pair it with a dark charcoal floor tile to pick up the grey in the marble. If you were seeking a more subtle look, you could simply select one wall to use this tile and have this as a feature tile to highlight a free standing bath for example. In this case, you would do the remaining walls in a plain white which would further enhance the feature tile.

Marble instantly brings to mind classic luxury, so I would be inclined to use hints of metallic with this tile if used in a bathroom. Using rose gold door hardware would be the perfect way to introduce metalics. I would select black tapware to really bring out the grey in the tile and work in with the charcoal floor tile. As the marble look is quite classic, I would love to see a shaker style door front for the vanity joinery. Instead of the standard towel rail in the bathroom, I like to use beautiful wall hooksastowelsdrapesonicelyandsoftenthespaceup. You can warm up the cooler colour scheme with pops of oak timber in accessories on the vanity and beautiful textured towels.

I would recommend this tile when you are seeking that look of luxury, it is a cost effective way to attain this desirable look. Being a porcelain tile, it is also much easier to maintain as you overcome all the issues of real Carrara marble being a porous material!
