At Amber, we are continuing to take measures to help manage the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) including strict hygiene, social distancing and quarantine protocols and we are responding to emerging government restrictions, mandates and guidelines.

We have been working through providing options to both our Customers and Store Network for both Contactless Product Selection and Purchasing and Book a Time with a Consultant for Stores that wish to conduct these while they still can – these are the first of more to come.

“We have changed the way we Operate”

Contactless Transacting:

  • Ring our sales consultants and discuss product options and quotations
  • Book an Appointment via our website
  • Contactless delivery or pick up of product and or product samples if required
  • Payment over the Phone, eftpos, credit credit card, direct deposit or a Zip payment option
  • Contactless Sample pick up
  • Contactless Delivery

Our number one priority remains the safety and health of our people, our customers and any visitors to our sites. At this point in time, Amber’s operations are considered to be within the critical infrastructure and construction sectors that are permitted and encouraged to continue as essential businesses. So, where we can continue to operate in a safe way, with appropriate hygiene and social distancing practices, our sites remain open and we are continuing to supply customers.

In Australia, construction is considered an essential industry, so we are safely working and supplying the market. Where demand is slowing, we have adequate levels of inventory to support our customers for the next several months and we are slowing incoming shipments to revised product forecasts.

Be careful, stay safe, and thank you!

Kind regards

Shirley Liew
Interim Chief Executive and Chairperson

At Amber, we are proud to have been serving the community for 46 years, with the best quality tiles, stone and pavers. The current outbreak of COVID-19 is challenging the whole of society and Amber is doing everything in its power to keep our stores open and available through this difficult period.

These measures include:

  • Any team member exhibiting symptoms has been asked to self-isolate as a precaution
  • Regular communication to our teams around hygiene and social distancing practices
  • All surfaces of tables and tiles that are interacted with are being wiped down after use
  • Cancelling all public events for the foreseeable future

As a business, we continue to monitor the latest information and advice and plan to be more conservative than the instructions issued by the relevant authorities. We have a team meeting daily to update our situation and make the necessary changes to ensure a safe environment for you and our team across the country.

2020 has certainly been one of unprecedented impact from fires, floods and epidemics, however we continue to provide outstanding service in store. Our business is proud to be predominantly franchisee owned who themselves are proud members of their community, supporting organisations in their time of need. Now more than ever, I ask you to support your local Amber store as we strive to provide you with the best possible solutions available.
