Our history confirms that Amber now has 22 Franchises in NSW / ACT, and 9 Franchises in Qld. It has been trading since 1973, so any objective view must confirm that the system works to have 31 Franchisees and a trading history exceeding 35 years. It is now majority owner in private equity company Greenstone Partners, and the intention is to take advantage of the past and leverage to a stronger future.
Amber has many thousands of satisfied customers. Recent market research has confirmed that Amber has a strong unaided recall of our brand with customers, and this is incredibly strong in any retail field.
The success of the network depends on the success of the Franchisees, and the philosophy above confirms the intention to grow and nurture its Franchisees.
Amber has always had a clear strategy of dealing with the key manufacturers in its markets, with a view that the strongest manufacturers teamed with the strongest retailer will lead to success for all parties. We support that with substantial Warehouse operations in NSW and Qld to support our Franchisees in these markets with competitive, exclusive and inspirational products.
We have a platform in place to allow it to enter other markets. It may choose in time to take the brand to other states of Australia or even international markets. It may expand within its current markets, with some obvious areas already identified for future growth. We could add more products to the brand, and expand the product offer to our existing customers.
